Step 9 - Invite Users

Step 9 - Invite Users

You can invite Users to join the portals you build in many different ways.  The quickest and easiest way is to invite Users through your normal NetSuite interface.

  1. In NetSuite use the global search to search for MVN VERSITAL Client User

  2. Click the New MVN VERSTIAL Client User button at the top of the list to enter a new User.

  3. Alternatively, if you know what Entity this User should represent you can navigate to that entity record and click New MVN Versital Client User on the Custom subtab of that record.

  4. On the MVN VERSITAL Client User record fill in the following information:
    1. Name - enter the full name for this user
    2. Company Name (optional) - enter the company name this user is part of
    3. Email - this is the email address the User will use for the login credentials
    4. Entity - this is the Entity record that this User will represent when logging into the portal
    5. Multi Entities - if this user should be able to login as more than one entity (ie multiple customers) then add ALL entities for this user in this field.  (You must also include the primary entity as a selection here).
    6. Status - check this box to enable their access to the User Site, otherwise they will not be able to login.
    7. Allowed Portals - select one or more portals that this User should have access to.
    8. Send Invite Email - check this box to send the user an invitation email.
    9. Send Password Reset Email - check this box to send the user an email to reset their password.

  1. Once saved this record the user will receive and email to setup their account credentials.

  2. You can also add new Users to VERSITAL in these other alternative ways:
    1. Via CSV Import

  3. Lastly, you can read our article on how to manage or remove User access after it has been given OR reset User passwords when necessary.
