Create and Invite Users via CSV Import

You are able to create Users one at a time in the NetSuite UI using our Quick Start Guide. However, if you have a lot of Users to create you can leverage the CSV import capabilities of NetSuite to create users, send invitation emails or reset passwords.
Creating New VERSITAL Users
- To create Users via CSV import, download the Create VERSITAL Users Import Template.csv file attached below.

- Fill in the import template with all necessary information, where each row will be a new users.
- External ID (required) - provide a unique ID for each row in the file. (This is a unique value that you make up...it can be any value as long as it is unique)
- Name (required) - provide the First and Last Name of the user combined into one field
- Company Name (optional) - if required enter a company name this User is associated with
- Email (required) - enter the email address of this user
- Status - Enter "Yes" to make them active, enter "No" to make them inactive
- Send Invite Email - enter "Yes" to send the user an email invitation, enter "No" to NOT send an email invitation
- Entity - enter the name of an Entity record in NetSuite if this User is associated with an existing entity (ie. Customer, Vendor, Partner, Employee) in NetSuite. NOTE - this value has to be an exact character match to the Entity ID/Name in NetSuite.
- Allow Portal List - enter the name of one or multiple portals you want this user to have access to. NOTE - this value has to be an exact character match to the Portal Name in NetSuite. Also be sure to review your import settings to know the proper delimiter to use for multi-select field imports.
- Once complete, be sure to save your file as a CSV file again.

- In NetSuite navigate to Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records

- Select Custom Records the MVN VERSITAL Client User

- Select the file you saved in Step 3 above, then Click Next

- Make sure to mark "Add" under data handling then click Next

- Click on the pencil next to the Entity mapping

- Choose the correct reference type (ie Name or Internal ID) based on the value you set in the Entity column of the CSV file, then click Ok

- Confirm all CSV columns have a green checkmark as mapped then click Next

- Hover over the Save & Run button and select "Run"

- Review the CSV status to ensure that all records are successfully imported and review/fix any errors by downloading the CSV Response file
