Image Custom Element Configuration
The Image custom element can be used to embed any image into your user site. You can use an external design program to create and edit images, banners, logos, infographics, flyers or any other type of graphic then display it on any tab within your user site.
- To start you will need to have your image stored in a web-based storage location with a publishable or public facing URL. You can use the NetSuite file cabinet to store this image and mark the "available without login" checkbox so it will be available publicly. However, if you have another storage platform that is also supported as long as you can get a public URL for the image. For the best results review our image sizing recommendations.
- Once you have the public URL (or external URL) for the image you want displayed simply drag the Image custom element into the portal editor
- Paste the URL into the URL field
- Use the width and height parameters to adjust how the size of the image is displayed on your user site. These values should be entered in pixels (ie. a value of 1000 would mean 1000px for the display size) NOTE - you can leave these blank and the size the image was created in will be used.
- When you publish the portal your image will now be displayed in the user site.
Image sizing and distortion can be difficult to judge as the display size of the user site is dependent on the computer and display settings of the user. Some images may be distorted to some users depending on the display settings of their device.
