Supported File Types for File Upload

The File Upload feature for record types is not available to all records types.  Be sure to consult the NetSuite documentation to know which record types support attaching Files.  Also note that the File Upload feature leverages the storage capacities of your File Cabinet.  File Cabinet size storage is one of the elements of your billing terms with NetSuite so be sure to monitor your File Cabinet usage to ensure you remain within the limits of your NetSuite Service Tier.  When using the File Upload feature there are a few limitations.  These limitations are a security measure to ensure files are safe and will not use up too much of your File Cabinet storage.

  1. The File Upload feature supports the following file types:
    1. .csv
    2. .txt
    3. .pdf
    4. .doc
    5. .docx
    6. .xls
    7. .xlsx
    8. .jpg
    9. .png

  2. The File Upload feature can upload files that are 80KB or less in size.
